Created for Feigenspan’s Bock Beer of Newark, New Jersey, this exuberant American advertising poster combines theatrical elegance, bold typography and playful brewery symbolism. A fashionable woman raises a foaming glass of beer while seated beside a horned goat—the traditional emblem associated with bock beer.

Her elaborate blue dress is covered with curling botanical patterns, echoed by the decorative foliage surrounding the goat. Behind them, a radiant sunburst fills the composition with energy, while the strong red lettering of “Feigenspan’s” and “Bock Beer” gives the design the visual force of a turn-of-the-century commercial poster.

The unusual pairing of the elegant central figure and the goat creates a memorable image that is both sophisticated and humorous. The goat refers to the long-standing visual tradition of using a buck or goat to represent bock beer, making the poster particularly appealing to collectors of brewery advertising and historic bar art.

The original poster was published by Robert A. Welcke and is dated approximately 1895–1917.

This reproduction has been carefully restored to improve colour balance, clarity and print presentation while retaining the lightly aged character of the original artwork. The product gallery includes both the restored print and a styled interior mock-up showing how the design may appear when framed and displayed.

With its warm yellow sunburst, deep teal ornament and striking period lettering, Feigenspan’s Bock Beer makes a distinctive feature print for a home bar, brewery, kitchen, games room, restaurant or vintage-inspired interior.
