Originally created in 1902 to promote the Chicago Kennel Club's Dog Show at the Coliseum in Chicago, this beautifully illustrated American advertising poster captures the elegance and theatricality of turn-of-the-century graphic design.

The composition features a fashionable woman dressed in a vivid red riding-style outfit, surrounded by three characterful dogs. Rich crimson, warm cream and deep brown tones combine with expressive hand-drawn illustration and bold lettering to create an eye-catching example of early American poster art.

Attributed to American illustrator George Ford Morris, celebrated for his illustrations of horses and dogs, the poster reflects the growing importance of illustrated advertising in the early 1900s, when commercial posters were becoming recognised as artworks in their own right.

With its lively animal subjects, sophisticated period fashion and distinctive vintage typography, this artwork offers a charming glimpse into the social and sporting culture of Edwardian America.

An appealing decorative print suited to collectors of vintage advertising, animal art and early twentieth-century illustration.
