A striking vintage Italian travel poster celebrating Naples and the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius rising in the distance beyond the city's monumental fortifications.
Created around 1920, the design combines dramatic architectural forms, rich Mediterranean colour and the strong geometric composition characteristic of early twentieth-century Italian travel advertising.
The original poster was published circa 1920 in Naples by Richter & C. for the Ente Nazionale per le Industrie Turistiche.
Possibly associated with the artist Mario Borgoni.
