John Le Carré is the pen name for author, "David John Moore Cornwell". He is best known for his espionage & spy novels.

 

In Le Carre's book, "A Perfect Spy", a key character and secret agent, Magnus Pym has disappeared. Has he defected? Gone to ground? or something more sinister ? This book is described by Le Carre as his most autobiographical novel, with references to people he has loved and betrayed, the unreliable con-man father who made him; and the two mentors who moulded and shaped him into a spy.

 

In a Perfect Spy, Le Carr'e portrays a man who has played different roles for so long, he no longer knows who he is.
