Created by Georges de Feure in 1900, this atmospheric French theatre poster advertises the celebrated dancer Loïe Fuller in her new production of Salomé at the Comédie Parisienne.

Fuller appears enveloped in a dramatic sweep of fabric, her body almost dissolving into layers of flame-like drapery. The flowing costume, raised arms and blurred edges suggest movement rather than a fixed pose, evoking the pioneering stage performances for which she became famous. Her dances used billowing silk, coloured lighting and carefully choreographed motion to transform the performer into an abstract spectacle of shape and light.

De Feure places the figure against a deep blue-green ground, allowing the muted shades of coral, ochre, rose and grey to glow with theatrical intensity. The irregular lettering of “La Loïe Fuller” curves across the upper section, while the large word “Salomé” anchors the design below. The result is both an advertisement and a striking expression of fin-de-siècle theatrical modernism.

The poster announced nightly performances at the Comédie Parisienne near the Paris Opéra. The original is recorded as a 1900 lithograph by Georges de Feure, printed by Imprimerie P. Lemenil, and measures approximately 130 × 94 cm.

This restored reproduction has been carefully prepared to improve clarity, tonal balance and print presentation while preserving the softly aged paper, subdued palette and expressive character of the historic artwork. The product gallery includes both the restored print and a styled interior mock-up showing how the work may appear when framed and displayed.

Mysterious, theatrical and richly decorative, Loïe Fuller in Salomé is especially well suited to a dressing room, music room, home bar, theatre-inspired interior or collection of Art Nouveau and Belle Époque performance posters.
