John Le Carré is the pen name for author, "David John Moore Cornwell". He is best known for his espionage & spy novels.

Barley is quickly trained by British Intelligence and sent to Moscow to liaise with a go-between, the beautiful Katya. In order to save humanity, must they betray their countries?
