August Macke's Türkisches Café or "Turkish Café" (circa 1914) is a celebrated piece of German Expressionism, capturing the vibrant ambiance of a Turkish café with bold colours and dynamic forms. This piece of art is one of a series of similar Café themed artworks by the artist. Created during Macke's influential Tunisian journey with Paul Klee and Louis Moilliet, this artwork reflects his fascination with exotic locales and his mastery of colour and composition. The original painting is housed in the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus in Munich.
