Sir Roger George Moore KBE (14 October 1927 – 23 May 2017) was an English actor. 

Through the early 1970s to the mid 1980s, Moore's most famous role was playing Ian Fleming's fictional secret agent "James Bond"

Moore also starred in the British mystery thriller TV series "The Saint" (1962–1969), playing the character of "Simon Templar".

Moore died in 2017 after a lengthy career in film and television.

He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for services to charity.
