An excellent book on the history of Tasmanian, specifically the midlands area. Illustrated with letters, maps and photographs. Telling of seven generations of the Gatenby extended family; their ups and downs; agricultural and farming ebdeavours; land disputes; encounters with bushrangers, local aborigines, convicts, tasmanian tigers; and others.
The book won the Lilian Watson Family History Award in 2021.
