Jean Léopold Nicolas Frédéric, baron Cuvier (23 August 1769 – 13 May 1832), "Georges Cuvier" was a French naturalist and zoologist. He was central to the establishment of the scientific fields of anatomy and paleontology. And a significant contributor to the concepts of the fossil record and extinction of species.
