Sir John Clifford Mortimer was a novelist, playwright and former practising barrister. He received a knighthood for his services to the arts in 1998.

One of his greatest creations was the character Horace Rumpole. The British television series "Rumpole of the Bailey" was based around this character.

Fans of John Mortimer and his popular Rumpole mysteries will also enjoy his book, titled: "Quite Honestly". It is a comedy based around tales of the criminal element in society, like the character "Terry Keegan" - and those do-gooders, such as, "Lucinda Purefoy", who try to encourage taking the good and morale path in life. The book is about the relationship between Terry and Lucinda and  the hilarious mishaps that befall them. Another witty book by John Mortimer.

This book personally signed by the author would make a great addition to any book collection.
