Lesley lived in Victoria.

She was an artist and a teacher and had been part of Montsalvat since its inception in 1934 and involved with Justus Jorgensen’s art studio in Melbourne.

On or about the 1920s she undertook art classes at the National Gallery School, Melbourne. She also studied lithography at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Lesley later lived at Montsalvat on a permanent basis, where she set up her art studio in an old white weatherboard house on the property.

She was a member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.

Lesley exhibited her artwork occasionally and has won a number of first prizes for paintings she has entered in art shows and exhibitions.

She travelled regularly to the Western Districts, Victoria – including to San Remo.
